Some of our Dadeville FFA members were on a charter bus headed to the National Convention this morning with other schools. There was an accident, but all students are safe, there are some minor injuries, and all students are being evaluated by medical personnel.

Dadeville Picture Make-Up Day will be Thursday, October 30 at 12:30 p.m. Students who were absent or would like a retake may have their picture taken. Students requesting retakes should bring their original photos to return.

FFA Corn Maze Trip Update: The FFA trip to Exeter has been moved to Aurora due to the Exeter maze being closed because of weather. The bus will leave at 5:00 p.m. and leave Aurora at 9 p.m. and arrive back in Dadeville at 10 p.m. Food will be available at the site. There are two cost options available: a $12 option that includes the maze and activities, and a $20 option that also includes the zombie paintball ride. No waiver is required for this trip, but students attending must bring their permission slips with them.

Dadeville PTO Carnival is Friday, October 24. The Chili Supper will begin in the cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. The Carnival will run from 6:00 to 7:45 p.m. and Coronation will begin at 8:00 p.m. Thank you for supporting the PTO and our school. Come out and enjoy a fun evening!

Dadeville Schedule Changes: The XC meet scheduled for Saturday, October 18 has been moved to Thursday, October 23 due to potential weather. The National Honor Society Induction Ceremony originally set for October 23 has been rescheduled to Tuesday, October 28 at 6 PM.

Dadeville Dodgeball Update: The Dadeville Dodgeball Tournament is scheduled for Monday, October 20. If the Dadeville softball girls advance to the Softball District Championship that same day, the dodgeball tournament will be rescheduled to Monday, October 27.

This week has been an exciting one on the construction site, with excavation and site preparation progressing smoothly. Coming up next, you’ll see underground utilities roughed in, along with footing work and concrete slab preparation. By the end of October, we anticipate a fully completed slab, paving the way for the building structure to be erected.
